Empower Young Minds:
Hire Us for School Presentations
At The Jordan Leigh Foundation, we are deeply committed to educating young minds about mental health and its connection to addiction. Our mission is to create a safe environment where individuals can openly discuss their challenges and seek support, breaking down the barriers imposed by stigma. Jordan's story serves as our inspiration, driving our efforts to raise awareness and educate students on the effects of substance use as a coping mechanism, while promoting healthier alternatives.
Presentations
Our presentations serve as educational prevention pieces, focusing on:
The interconnectedness of mental health and addiction
The dangers of toxic substances and harmful drugs
Recognizing signs of overdose and prevention strategies
Using compassionate language to foster understanding
We also share Jordan's personal journey, illustrating the foundation's origins and mission.
At the end of each presentation, we provide resource cards and items from our RISE UP Collection to uplift and inspire.
Workshops
In addition to presentations, we offer interactive workshops where students actively engage in community outreach. During these workshops, students participate in:
Filling RISE UP bags with essential items for the homeless community
Writing personal notes of encouragement to include in each bag
These workshops provide a hands-on opportunity for students to experience the joy of giving and the impact of small acts of kindness. By participating, students learn that kindness is contagious and that even small gestures can make a significant difference.
Why It Matters
Starting mental health education early is crucial. By empowering youth with knowledge and support, we aim to foster a more compassionate and understanding society. We are dedicated to helping students feel empowered to speak openly about mental health and seek help when needed.
Together, we can RISE UP and create positive change!
