Rising Up in Memory of Jordan: The Birth of Our Mission. πŸ‘„

In Harrington, QC, we gathered on July 29th, 2023, for a celebration of life like no other – the Rise Up event, a tribute to our beloved Jordan Leigh.

Organized by her loving auntie Penny, this day was created to honor, cherish and celebrate the beautiful person Jordan was.
Echoing Jordan's life long passion for music, there was karaoke, a full stage, live performances and all of Jordan’s favorite foods.

Every bite, every note, every laugh and every tear shed that day were tokens of the profound impact Jordan had on the lives of all her friends and family.
The Rise Up event wasn't just a farewell; it was a testament to the love we all shared. It was a moment in time where Jordan's presence could be felt again - reminding us that even in the midst of grief, there is still love.

From the echo of that day, a spark ignited in her twin sister Jodi – the RISE UP theme that would carry forward Jordan's legacy.
An idea that kept blossoming - β€œhow to channel the energy of the RISE UP event into something more enduring and purposeful?”

And thus, the idea of creating The Rise Up Collection (that would ultimately create a foundation for change) was born.

I (Jillian) became personally involved in The Rise Up Collection because Jordan was my best friend.
When Jodi expressed the need for assistance in building a website, I wholeheartedly offered my expertise. Creating something meaningful for my best friend, whom I miss dearly every day, became a heartfelt mission for me.
This is my contribution to Jordan's legacy and Jodi's meaningful project.

Now we are rising up to the challenge of turning our grief into a force for good.

Jordan, your absence is deeply felt, yet your spirit resonates through the essence and purpose of The Rise Up Collection. It lives on in the individuals we support, and in the conversations we initiate to break the silence surrounding mental health and addiction.
This is our tribute to you. We love you.
